Project Spotlight: Porch & Deck Cleaning and Staining

For this recent project, Hansen Contracting & Repairs cleaned and stained an existing porch and deck, giving the space a refreshed appearance while helping protect the wood from the elements.
Bringing a Weathered Deck Back to Life
Over time, this porch and deck had accumulated dirt and weathering that left the wood looking worn and in need of some attention.
Before applying a new finish, we thoroughly cleaned the surface to remove built-up dirt and prepare the wood for staining. Proper preparation is an important part of the refinishing process and helps the new stain adhere properly and provide a more even, lasting finish.
Once the deck was cleaned and prepared, we applied new stain throughout the porch, stairs, and railings.
The result was a cleaner, refreshed outdoor space with renewed protection for the wood underneath.
